Hey loves, Been a minute, the quarantine has been an amazing to my soul mind and body I also missed my coffee dates. I was so happy when we could visit restaurants I have a couple of restaurants I intend to visit, you know what they say about when you cant access something that’s when you start missing it. Am planning to visit as many restaurants in Nairobi as I can.

Barista is a multi-roaster coffee bar located in  Sarit Mall Westlands. From the time I walked up to this place until the time I left, I was impressed. The design is smart, intriguing and my type of style. Its quite simplistic the shop is accented with a black and white color that crescendos with the presence of woody furniture. They had offerings for coffee (espresso, filter and the aforementioned cold brew) and tea as well as quite a few other beverage options. There were quite a few pastries and food items to select from as well. Some of the menu items that I found most tantalizing (but sadly did not partake) is the Hand Brews.

The pricing is quite affordable coffee was ranging from 200-400Ksh depending on your preference. I had a hot vanilla latte that was Ksh 350 and a chocolate chip cookie which was Ksh 150. I totally loved this was really soft and tasty, I don’t like my cookies so hard so that’s a thumbs up for that. If you intend on having a more fulfilling meal or maybe lunch I saw in the menu they had Panini’s and Pasta that’s  available ranging from 700-1000Ksh.

As previously stated, I found my experience at Barista Coffee Bar to be delightful and just about everything I look for in a coffee shop experience.

The barista that took my order and made my coffee was friendly and willing to answer my questions and talk about the coffee that they had on the menu. I enjoyed my chocolate cookie and vanilla latte  my friend who ordered  butter croissant and cappuccino found it  quite enjoyable as well.

I was more than happy with my experience and will try to go again next time I am in the area. If you are anywhere near Westlands, this is the place to be.
