THE INFINITY WRAP DRESS
Hey loves a new week, a new blog post. The world of fashion can be presented as magical at some point in our lives. The beauty of trends , art and creativity producing monumental continuity which we refer to as fashion can be ethereal sometimes and other times it can be dishelveling . Try as much as we can, the subject of maintaining one’s fashion prowess has alot to do with creativity and zest than it has to do with either of the two separately. This means you have to have a passion for looking good and you have to be creative at the same time, one cannot work without the other.
Creativity in fashion refers to one’s original style and idea. Authenticity was one thing the pioneers of the Kenyan Fashion Industry strove for. The form in which they could show that they were original with ideas was by using the Ankara fabric is something that is an enigma for quite a while, you understand it and yet you don’t and because alot of people didn’t have the vision to see the potential they relegated it to old fashion ,the almost killed it’s potential by making it a wedding attire or what our grandmom’s sort of fashion.
Fast forward to the new millennial, the Ankara fabric which people thought it would fade away has made it’s presence known not just in Kenya but Africa and diaspora as a whole , Stella Mcartney 2017 collection was all about Ankara. I am totally hooked by the Ankara fabric which produces fantastic Ankara outfits. This beautiful gorgeous dress was gifted to me by Sebibydesign a talented designer. The versatility of this dress is endless you can wear it a million ways , thus the name infinity wrap dress. Am so obsessed with that part but also the modern cut to it. What do you guys think of this dress, Is it a hit or miss?
